Let's Investigate

During a mini unit on physical changes of matter, students investigate ways to speed up the melting process of ice.  Salt was a popular choice but did not speed up the process as students predicted.

Chest Vest

We have been studying the respiratory and muscular system over the last few weeks.  We added parts of our respiratory system first and later added some smooth muscles to our chest vest.  Check us out!

Brand New Year!!!!!!!!!

It's a  NEW school year, a NEW class, and brand NEW grade!!!  I am so excited about my new journey into third grade.  Wow, third graders come with so much INDEPENDENCE!!!!  And they already know how to charm the socks off of each other.  We began our year with ways to fill each others buckets.  This is a program that allows students to build their self esteem by building the self esteem of others.  Students record ways they have been kind to one another through sharing, complimenting, helping, etc. and this allows them to earn a "warm fuzzie".  The fuzzies go into their individual class buckets.  This is an excellent way to build class community.  Ask your child more about it.
